**Job Title: Machine Operator Helper**
**Job Description**
We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator Helper to join our team. You will operate a variety of advanced machines including press breaks, saws, drills, turret punch, laser, or shear, ensuring they function according to standard operating procedures. Your role involves setting up, programming, and calibrating machines for production runs, resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues, and performing quality checks on parts and assemblies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate various machines at an advanced level according to standard operating procedures.
+ Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs, ensuring configurations meet product specifications.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
+ Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains.
+ Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet standards and customer specifications.
+ Train and mentor less experienced machine operators on advanced machine operation and troubleshooting techniques.
+ Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines, ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
+ Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs, production workflows, and equipment performance.
+ Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance, and corrective actions taken.
+ Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.
+ Follow lean manufacturing guidelines, providing continuous improvement suggestions for gained efficiency.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification or associate degree in machine operation, engineering, or related field preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in machine operations, preferably in press breaks, turrets, lasers, and shears.
+ Expertise in machine programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
+ Strong knowledge of machining techniques, including precision manufacturing and CNC operations.
+ Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files.
+ Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
+ Strong leadership abilities with experience training and mentoring junior staff.
+ Commitment to quality control, safety, and continuous improvement.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working with sheet metal cut, pressed, and punched to strict tolerances.
+ Ability to operate punch press, press brake, sheet metal, bandsaw, drill press, and CNC machines.

**Work Environment**
Work in a modern state-of-the-art facility in Mesa, Arizona equipped with electric charging stations. The facility is air-conditioned and adheres to strict safety protocols, requiring the use of Personal Protection Equipment. Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing portable ladders. The position requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Arizona.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
