As the Division Manager you will be responsible for serving as the administrative liaison with Banner and Supervisor for all trainees and administrative staff. Establishes and updates department workflow based on organizational policies and procedures, standard professional practices, guidelines, and standards as specified by accrediting agencies and related local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

This is a Full Time in person only 40 hour per week position.

Banner University Medical Group is our nonprofit faculty practice plan associated with the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine in Phoenix and Tucson. Our 800-plus clinicians provide primary and specialty care to patients at highly ranked Banner - University Medical Centers and dozens of clinics while providing mentorship to more than 700 residents and fellows. **Position Summary:**

The Vascular Surgery Division Manager is responsible for the overall clinical operational, and strategic support of the Vascular Surgery and Surgical Podiatry Division, including supervision and management of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), as well as coordination of the clinical programs. Under the direction of the department administrator and division chief, his role ensures efficient clinical operations, faculty productivity, and program development while collaborating with key stakeholders to meet the division’s goals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Productivity/Financial Support**

+ In partnership with division chief, manage the divisions clinical productivity and maintain positive financial margins. Develop an understanding of financial policies and process expense reimbursements and financial documents.

+ Review monthly billing and coding; partner with Revenue Integrity on billing discrepancies.

+ Review and update PINGs to ensure accuracy of billing locations.

**Clinical & Operational Management**

+ Manage and optimize clinical templates, ensuring alignment with scheduling needs.

+ Build and maintain clinical schedules for surgeons and APPs, ensuring alignment with cFTE standards (Full-time FTE = 9 sessions + 1 admin session).

+ Plan and identify clinic locations while ensuring availability of necessary resources and equipment.

+ Establish and optimize OR block schedules in collaboration with surgical teams.

+ Review and ensure the accuracy of surgeon schedules in QGenda, ensuring monthly call schedules are loaded correctly and on time.

+ Ensure all information is accurate and that surgeon contact details are included.

+ Optimize clinic templates and ensure diagnosis grids are up to date.

**Recruitment & Onboarding**

+ Develop proformas and project clinical volumes to support recruitment efforts.

+ Coordinate interviews and facilitate onboarding for new faculty and APPs.

+ Coordinate and manage onboarding processes for new faculty and APPs, including system access, clinic preferences, OR preferences, and referral lists.

+ Organize OR and clinic introductions, ensuring equipment, supplies, and preferences are established.

+ Ensure OR preferences (equipment, disposable supplies, pharmacy, lab) and clinic preferences are documented.

+ Ensure preference cards have been loaded into the system.

+ Schedule meetings with the OR to establish preferences and confirm necessary equipment and supplies are available.

+ Arrange Meet & Greet sessions with key stakeholders, including the Customer Engagement Center (CEC)/Call Center, clinic managers, and coders.

**Productivity & Strategy**

+ Lead clinical strategy meetings with faculty to review ramp-up progress.

+ Monitor faculty productivity and maintain division scorecards for review during 1:1 meetings with the division chief.

**Outreach & Development**

+ Support faculty in outreach efforts, including community engagement and partnership development.

+ Assist in developing marketing strategies to promote pediatric and fetal surgery services.

+ Coordinate outreach events and collaborations with external healthcare organizations.

Any other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare related field or equivalent experience is required.

Requires a proficiency level typically attained with 3-5+ years’ experience in healthcare operational/financial management, quality improvement, risk assessment, change management, and project/standardization work at multiple facilities.

Must be adept at creating and communicating a clear and detailed program plan to internal/external stakeholders, effectively aligning resources and motivating multi-disciplinary teams to achieve goals and create partnership-style relationships. Must have demonstrated technical, organizational, project management and negotiation capabilities. Must be a self-starter with excellent ability to implement and execute. Must have the ability to balance the big picture with the day-to-day delivery details, connecting key project needs and internal resources to prioritize the workload. Must have a strong desire to improve the lives of patients, their care givers, and families. Must possesses compassion and empathy coupled with accountability and execution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in business or healthcare related field.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
