    Job Description:

    The Sr Quality Manager will be responsible for providing Quality leadership and managing QA teams that support multiple business unit, multiple technologies: IC’s, discrete and system/module product lines. Focus will be on growing and developing a team, processes, systems and suppliers to expand Microchip’s product offering and support for the Aerospace and Defense market.

    This includes coordinating and aligning efforts to implement and integrate aerospace and defense compliant systems and processes into the Microchip ecosystem.     Essential duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

    Aerospace and Defense leadership and process development and integration:

    Working across the organization to establishing and structure Quality Management systems and processes to support Aerospace and Defense products and Systems and Module products.
    Customer Quality: Coordinating the reach out to customers to understand their requirements and issues, establish joint improvement initiatives. Collect customer feedback and work with the quality team to implement improvements.
    Agency Management: Support ongoing communications with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)

    Support Site Quality in the following:

    Site quality systems (QMS) development and continual improvement, working within the site teams to maintain ISO9001, AS9100 certifications and other industry standards.
    Customer Failure Analysis requests, creation of 8D, to determine root cause, implementing corrective/preventive actions for returns and/or complaints.
    Reliability activities during new product introduction, qualification planning, MTBF/FIT calculations
    Manufacturing by completing in process inspections, MRB fault analysis, root cause, CAPA, awareness training.
    Supply-chain, SCAR process with corrective actions for non-conforming materials, new material/product first article assessments/test plans, review potential new suppliers through surveys and on-site audits.
    Process engineering with development and implementation of new processes, including documentation and personnel training.
    Provide factory awareness training for ESD and FOD programs, as well as provide operator specialist certifications to IPC-610 and J-STD-001 quality requirements.
    Maintain and develop procedures and processes to improve overall product and process quality
    Supporting NPI activities, creation of Quality Plans, setting Key Characteristics (KC), identify and education team on RISK (FMEA) during NPI process
    Supervising quality teams (Quality Engineers and Inspectors), monitoring, and implementing GMP and Key Product/Process Indicators (KPIs)

    Job Description:

    The successful candidate will be able to use their application and device physics knowledge to test, characterize and recommend improvements to high voltage Silicon Carbide (SiC) power FET and Diode device designs.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Propose and review Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor device concepts for MOSFETs, diodes, and other power devices.
    Conduct simulations and modeling using Spice (or equivalents) to predict performance and identify areas for improvement.
    Oversee detailed characterization and analysis of power devices to validate design and process changes.
    Creating custom test bench setups and test fixtures as needed for high voltage devices.
